Climate Change, Government of Canada
Canadian Government site explaining climate change and exploring
action being taken by Canada to counter it. Includes a number
of references, including video tips, publications, and student
and teacher resources.
Office of Energy Efficiency
The OEE is a sub-site of Natural Resources Canada, and is a center
for energy conservation, energy efficiency, and alternative fuels
information. It manages seven different programs to save energy
in residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors.
The site details its programs, and includes a number of publications
as well as a section for kids. Based in Ottawa.
Canada’s National Climate Change Process
A program established by the Canadian Government to examine the
impact, costs and benefits of implementing the Kyoto Protocol
in Canada. Site includes many documents on climate change, and
a comprehensive links section. Based in Ottawa.
Solar Energy Society of Canada Inc.
A non-profit organization operating to increase the awareness,
understanding, and use of solar energy in Canada. It holds seminars
and conferences to spread information, encourages innovative concepts
and improvements in solar energy applications, and develops programs
to support energy conservation through renewable energies. Based
at Queen’s University in Kingston.

CRFA is a non-profit organization seeking to promote renewable
fuels for transportation Membership is comprised of representatives
from ethanol and biofuel industries. The site provides detailed
information and fact sheets on both fuels, and advertises renewable
