tax deductible.
Contributions
The Climate Institute receives financial support
from membership and private contributions, grants, and contractual
services for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporate
contributions and publication sales.
Over the last decade and a half these revenues have
come from three principal sources:
1. International agencies and governments outside
the U.S.
2. U.S. government agencies; and
3. Foundations and corporate contributions.
A contribution to the Climate Institute enables
us to continue to be a catalyst in climate protection by providing
reliable information on health and environmental consequences
of climate change and air pollution, and engage policy and decision-makers
in both industrialized and developing countries to design innovative
approaches to provide clean sources of energy to the two billion
people without modern and reliable energy supplies and bring about
a reduction in global greenhouse gas emissions. Contributions
also enable us to promote on line access to information on air
quality in major cities and to show how carbon reduction strategies
that protect the climate of future generations can yield benefits
now in cleaner urban air quality.
The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the Climate
Institute as an eligible nonprofit organization under Section
501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Accordingly gifts,
contributions and grants to the Climate Institute may be tax deductible
under U.S. federal or state law to US individual or corporate
donors.

Gifts to the Climate Institute may be in the form
of cash, securities or real property.
