Since the Climate Institute's creation it has been instrumental
in moving climate change to the top of the international agenda. It has helped catalyze the US and global public, private and media
interest in the climate change issue and assisted in identifying
practical ways of achieving significant emissions reductions.
The Climate Institute has accomplished this by tapping into its
vast network of experts and alliances in the US and internationally.
It has also been aided by the support of a dedicated and energetic
Board and staff.
The
Institute has distinguished itself as a world leader in promoting
global climate balance with practical and cooperative approaches
and this is evident in its creative and cutting-edge programs.
These programs have been carried out not only in the U.S., Canada,
Australia, Japan and Europe but also in as many as 30 developing
countries providing expert advice at ministerial and heads of
state briefings and at symposia, conferences, roundtables, and
special briefings with business executives and private citizens.
In
all its efforts, the Institute strives to be a source of objective,
reliable information.
