Encyclopedia of the Atmospheric Environment
This encyclopedia is created by Atmospheric, Climate & Environment Information Programme, UK a one-stop source of information on a range of atmospheric issues, including air quality, acid rain, global warming and ozone depletion. Many definitions are offered at both beginner and advanced levels.

Ask Dr. Global Change
“Dr. Global Change” is a reference service for information and data on global environmental change created by U.S. Global Change Research Information Office. This site features a searchable database of previously asked questions, and allows users to submit original queries. Help is available in the areas of climate variability and change, atmospheric composition, global carbon cycle, global water cycle, changes in ecosystems, and human dimensions of global change. Grades: 5–12

Global Warming: Focus on the Future
This site is based on a museum exhibit displayed at the Smithsonian Museum. It contains a wide range of topics, illustrated with photos, and interesting games. There are four sections to this site. In "It is happening," students can get the historical perspective on global warming as well as information on what the issue is. Created by: Environmental Defense Fund, American Museum of Natural History Target Grades: 5–12
(Highlight) Global Warming is Happening: Good background information on a list of topics. This site is based on an interactive museum exhibition, and stresses climate change over history.

This site takes NOAA images and offers students the chance to put those images into the correct order while also learning more about the environmental work of the Agency. There are two spuzzles in this section: Climate and Research. Target Grades 6-12

Frequently Asked Questions about Global Warming
This site can answer many questions about global warming, including: What is the greenhouse effect, and is it affecting our climate? Is the atmospheric/ oceanic circulation changing? Is the climate becoming more variable or extreme? Can the observed changes be explained by natural variability? Target Grades 6-12

This web page provides middle school science students with research and investigation experiences using online resources. Climate topics include El El Niño and its effects on the weather of the world. Target Grades 6-12

An international network of indigenous peoples protecting the earth.
(Highlight) Climate Justice:This section contains links to a collection of articles from an indigenous perspective, and powerful statements made by indigenous groups responding to climate change.

EPA: Student Center
The EPA Student Center offers middle and high school students a wide range of environmental issues to explore. There are club projects, careers & scholarships, and information about conservation, recycling, ecosystems, air, water and health to name a few.

Coast The Great Green Web Game
The Great Green Web Game, developed by the Union of Concerned Scientists, is based on an analysis of the environmental impact of consumer decisions. Air pollution, water pollution, destruction of natural habitats, and global warming are the main forms of environmental damage caused by consumer-related activities today. The Great Green Web Game shows how you can reduce this damage through effective consumer choices.

Global Climate Change
At this Web site, you can explore scientific data relating to the atmosphere, the oceans, the areas covered by ice and snow, and the living organisms in all these domains. You'll also get a sense of how scientists study natural phenomena.

National Envirothon
A team competition for North American high schools, testing students' knowledge of wildlife, forestry, soil, aquatics, and current environmental issues.
