CICERO is an independent research center associated with the University of Oslo. CICERO conducts research on and provides information and expert advice about national and international issues related to climate change and climate policy.
ECO- Lighthouse Programme

Interesting program established with the support of the Ministry of the Environment to facilitate responsible practices in small to medium sized industrial and commercial firms in Norway. The main strategy of Eco-Lighthouse is to systematically develop industry-specific criteria for certification. This also allows the Program to use the trade unions’ experience and “advertise” certified companies within the industry. Companies thus benefit from the free advertising by participating in the program, and are also certified as an environmentally responsible company when they fulfill the environmental requirements set by the Eco-Lighthouse Program.
GRIP (Norwegian Foundation for Sustainable Consumption and Production)

GRIP promotes and supports sustainable production and consumption patterns. GRIP bases itself on the realities of the industries to cooperate with private and public organizations in implementing SCP. The Ministry of the Environment provides GRIP's basic financing, whilst participating companies finance many of the projects. GRIP works primarily with industries that are not traditionally considered to be polluting in a legal sense, but that do have an impact on the environment through the consumption of goods, chemicals and energy, transport and refuse.
